What does ReadCastX do? +
ReadCastX converts PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, and pasted text into narrated audio. Listen in your browser, use a private podcast feed, or download an MP3 on a paid plan.
Can I listen in my podcast app? +
Yes. Add your private RSS URL once to Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Overcast, AntennaPod, or another player that accepts a feed URL. Spotify does not accept arbitrary external RSS feeds.
Does ReadCastX summarize my document? +
No. ReadCastX narrates the extracted text faithfully. It does not rewrite the document, create a summary, or generate a conversation.
Can it read a scanned PDF? +
Not yet. A PDF needs selectable text. If a scan has no text layer, ReadCastX reports the problem before narration and does not charge hours.
How much does ReadCastX cost? +
Free includes 3 generated audio hours per month. Listener is €5 per month for 40 hours, and Pro is €11 per month for 120 hours under fair use. Playback and downloads do not consume generation hours.
