About ReadCastX

A focused way to turn documents into audio.

ReadCastX is a web application that converts PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, and pasted text into narration. It is built for people who want to finish long reading away from a screen, using a browser, an MP3 file, or a private podcast feed.

Why it exists

Reading queues grow faster than quiet screen time. ReadCastX makes reports, papers, ebooks, and notes available during a commute, walk, workout, or routine task. The product stays deliberately narrow: faithful narration and flexible listening, without pretending every document needs a summary or an AI conversation.

What it does

  • Extracts text from supported documents
  • Creates English, French, or Russian narration
  • Streams audio in the browser
  • Delivers episodes through a private RSS feed
  • Provides MP3 downloads on paid plans

What it does not do

  • No OCR for image-only scanned PDFs
  • No summaries, rewriting, or host dialogue
  • No translation or voice cloning
  • No native mobile or desktop app
  • No public podcast publishing or team workspace

Built and operated in Paris

ReadCastX is designed, built, and operated by Dynamic Foundries, an independent French software company. Document processing, narration, and storage run on infrastructure in France. Uploaded source files are discarded after text extraction; extracted text and generated audio remain until you delete the document or account.

Try it with a document you already need to read.

The Free plan includes 3 generated audio hours each month and requires no payment card.
