# About ReadCastX

ReadCastX is a document-to-audio web application. It converts PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, and pasted text into natural-sounding narration for browser playback, MP3 download on paid plans, and delivery through a private podcast RSS feed.

The primary job is straightforward: help people finish long documents while away from a screen. Reports, papers, ebooks, notes, and saved reading can become audio for a commute, walk, workout, or routine task. Each uploaded document becomes one item in the library and one episode in the user's feed when feed visibility is enabled.

ReadCastX supports English, French, and Russian interfaces and narration voices. It is published by Dynamic Foundries and hosted in France.

ReadCastX does not summarize or translate documents, generate a host conversation, read image-only scanned PDFs, or provide native mobile applications. Its current downloadable format is MP3.
