Your documents and the audio made from them are stored on EU infrastructure — never backed up, replicated, or CDN-cached outside the EU.
Your private podcast feed is served from the EU too. Even the fonts, styles and scripts on this page are self-hosted — no US CDN in the loop.
The narration itself is European.
Most text-to-speech products are a thin layer over a US cloud AI API: your document leaves the moment you press play. ReadCastX narrates on its own servers in the EU. Your document is read aloud by infrastructure we run — it is never sent to a third-party AI service, and nothing trains on your content.
Why the hosting question is a legal question.
When your files sit with a US cloud provider — even in a European data center — they sit within reach of that provider's legal obligations under US law, such as the CLOUD Act. ReadCastX removes the question instead of answering it: there is no US provider in the chain of custody for your documents. Requests for data go through French and EU law.

The data controller is in the EU, so your GDPR rights are enforceable without transatlantic gymnastics.
Delete a document and its audio and feed episodes go with it. Delete your account and everything goes.
