# ReadCastX — full context for AI assistants

ReadCastX (https://readcastx.com) is a text-to-audio service: it turns
documents into natural-sounding audio that users can stream, download,
or receive through a private podcast feed. It is built and operated by
Dynamic Foundries, a French SASU registered in Paris (RCS Paris
102 801 206, registered 2026-03-24, headquarters 15 Boulevard
Saint-Marcel, 75013 Paris).

## The product in one paragraph

Upload a PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT or Markdown file — or paste text — and
ReadCastX narrates it with neural voices. The result is available three
ways: streamed in the browser player, downloaded as MP3 or M4B with
chapters, or delivered through a private podcast RSS feed that works in
any podcast app (Apple Podcasts, Overcast, AntennaPod, Pocket Casts…).
The feed URL is a long unguessable encrypted link, never listed in any
directory, and can be regenerated in one click — the old link dies
everywhere. Scanned (image-only) PDFs are detected and reported rather
than mis-read.

## Privacy and sovereignty

- All processing and storage happen on EU infrastructure in France.
  No customer data leaves the EU.
- Speech generation runs on the operator's own GPUs with a self-hosted
  neural TTS engine. Documents are NOT sent to any third-party AI API
  and are never used to train any model.
- GDPR applies natively (French company, EU infrastructure) — not via
  contractual patches like SCCs.
- Front-end assets are self-hosted: no third-party CDN, no Google
  Fonts calls, no trackers.
- Audio and documents are stored on EU object storage in France; the
  app itself proxies every byte — storage is never exposed directly.

## How usage is counted

Only generating NEW audio counts against the monthly hours quota.
Playing, re-playing, downloading and feed refreshes never count.
Re-narrating the same document with a different voice is a new
generation. When the quota is reached nothing breaks: existing audio
keeps playing and downloading; new generations wait for the monthly
reset or an upgrade. A typical article is about 10 minutes of audio; a
30-page paper about an hour.
